There are so many working parts to a business, and whether you’re switching your to-do hats every day, or have a team helping you, it still feels like the task list is ever-growing and something on your list ends up suffering.

Spoiler: Your copy shouldn’t be the thing to take the hit. It’s way too valuable.

Copy is your biz voice. It’s the purpose you give to your product/service/offering that presents how valuable it is to your audience. It’s how you spark a connection and build trust. It’s how you round up your loyal pack.

So yea, it’s important. Like, don’t-screw-this-opportunity-up important.

But giving your copy projects the attention they deserve is hard for you to commit to because:

You’re BUSY. Running a business keeps you busy. LIFE keeps you busy. You need to delegate some of your tasks.

Writing copy is not easy. It involves critical thinking and research. By the time you get to it, there’s no creative juice left in the biz operator tank. You need an expert who will do the research and deliver words that convert.

You just don’t wanna. The thought of being the “writer” in your business is anxiety-inducing. You still want to sound like “you”, but without the actual writing part.

That’s where I come in…

I’m Cait Mellor— Your copy rescuer who will craft the right words for your unique business.

I mend broken words that aren’t working for your business, even if that means we start from scratch to get it right.

I’m also a ginormous dog lover (this is important. You’ll see why. Read on.).

I’ve combined my degree in Communications and Creative Writing and my background in the pet industry and animal welfare to build a copywriting biz dedicated to helping your pet business succeed.

What’s my specialty?

My specialty is always having a dog (or three) present for our Zoom calls.

But seriously, after seven years of managing the day-to-day of both an animal rescue and a pet retail shop/boarding facility, I quickly settled into that “niche” once I pursued copywriting on my own.

We tend to gravitate toward and land on things and topics that we’re passionate about, so, HELLO

Helping pet industry professionals is a no-brainer for me.

I give a lot of shits about animal welfare, the pet industry, and genuinely connecting with pet owners to give them the support they need.

I’ve scooped up a lot of shits through the years to prove it.

Now, I prove it through the power of words (which smells much better, so that’s cool).

Whether you believe in the term “fur babies” or not (and yes, this is a debate I see often), I can create a strategic brand voice and copy plan that feels authentic to you and is completely drool-worthy (All dog puns intended).

How can we work together?

Testimonials

Cait helped me curate my jumble of ideas into something really compelling that tells a story on my sales page. Not only did you write great copy, but I like that you took a strategic approach. I feel like I gave you a bunch of rocks, and you turned them into diamonds!
— Tori Mistick, Founder of Wear Wag Repeat Society
Cait’s ability to understand our brand voice, bring new ideas that are relevant and NOT cheesy show her professionalism and understanding for the modern day reader. She also understands strategy and selling techniques, which is essential with the projects we utilize her help with.
— Candace D'Agnolo, Founder of Pet Boss Nation
“We know our brand and voice but we had a hard time verbalizing it for the website, and Cait did that for us. The end result was very valuable and worth the price!”
— Jessica Osborne, Latah Creek Animal Hospital
